Nava Lubelski

Nava Lubelski works on canvas, does paper sculpture and works on paper. she forms for artist from destroy and mending. Nava does this by hand-stitching over stains and rips, or cutting and staining canvas. she also repair the cut holes in the canvas with lace but not a full repair. she does this to give her work more of a sculpture feel.

Nava Lubelski works with embroidery is beautiful. Its not just beautiful to look at but the colour that contrast and look like they are moving together. The way they are all different and the movement in the work is like the movement in the sea. I find this artist very interesting.

Cathryn Kemp

Cathryn Kemp is a artist but mainly works in textiles, printmaking and photography. When working with textiles, she works around female identity and rites of passage. her work is about deconstructs and reconstructs she does this using vintage garments. Also when doing this she works with emotion.

It was hard to find out how this artist used embroidery but when i found out she does her work using emotion, it was very similar to workshop with did but with memory. I like that it looks like writing but its unreadable. For someone that is dyslexic like my self, it put is in the same places as everyone else for ones. It something i am passionate about. I also think its simple but elegant. This reminds me of a memory and this what I want my sample to do.

Paper fashion

Artist – Katie Rodgers (based in new York)

I have been looking at this artist as she show the development stages her work. Katie Rodgers draws are based on water colour paints.

Katie use different colour paper and has a very unique style. She is more fashion base in her style. She like to focus her drawing on the cat walk, red carpet and more.

I really find Katie inspiring and the way she paints everyday always creating something new. Her work is not always her own designer as she likes to put her own take on some styles.

I am fallen in love with this artist style and love see her drawing.

Its also very easy to find the art artist the website/blog, Instagram, Facebook all called paper fashion. On her blog she talking about every painting. What materials she uses. Her blog is great place to get some ideas or just something beautiful to look at.
